My Transformational Story
A Life Built Around People, Stories and Change
My professional life has taken me through some unexpected chapters.
I spent more than 20 years in New York City working in corporate communications and public relations, where I learned the power of words, the importance of listening, and how much our stories shape the way we see ourselves and the world around us.
Then I entered the funeral profession.
As a licensed funeral director, I have had the privilege — and responsibility — of being with people during some of the most difficult and meaningful moments of their lives. Sitting with families in those moments has taught me that every life has a story, and that the chapters we sometimes take for granted can become the ones we remember most.
Along the way, I became a certified life coach and a published writer.
Today, these three parts of my professional life — coaching, writing, and funeral service — may seem like very different paths. To me, they aren't. They have all been about people: listening to them, understanding their stories, helping them navigate change, and finding meaning in the experiences that shape us.
Why I Coach
I work with women who are navigating transitions, questioning what comes next, or feeling overwhelmed by the choices in front of them.
I don't believe coaching should be about telling someone how to live their life. And I don't believe in pressure, clichés, or one-size-fits-all answers.
I believe in asking the right questions, getting honest about what you want, recognizing the beliefs and boundaries that may be holding you back, and creating the clarity you need to make your own decisions.
You're not stuck. You're facing a decision you haven't made yet.
Why I Write
Writing has always been my passion and another way for me to explore people and the experiences that connect us.
My work has appeared in publications including KevinMD, Mad in America, HuffPost, Sixty and Me, Authority Magazine, Life Coach Magazine, and many others. I write about mental health, aging, relationships, loss, resilience, identity, and the complicated business of being human.
I am also the author of HelloSelf – The Journal: Living Your Legacy.
Whether I'm coaching someone through a decision or writing about an experience we all recognize, my goal is much the same: to look beneath the surface and ask what is really going on.
The Chapters Keep Changing
I've learned that transformation doesn't always arrive as a dramatic moment. Sometimes it happens quietly — when we finally admit something isn't working, recognize that we've outgrown an old version of ourselves, or decide that it's time to move in a different direction.
I've had my share of those moments.
And I suspect you have, too.
That's why this site brings together the different parts of my professional life. Coaching, writing, and funeral service are different paths, but they have given me the same gift: a deeper understanding of people and the many ways a life can change.
